House of Troy designed this series of lamps especially for the dimensions of certain digital pianos. It has a nice height and the narrow base is designed to fit on the sometimes smaller platforms offered by the digital grands and uprights.
Because it fits right behind the music desk, consequently the shade is mounted straight above, it does not extend forward of the base.
